Those of you who read this blog, know that I enjoy posting the occasional political cartoon, and I stumbled across this one this week by Walt Handelsman that is particularly appropriate. The scariest goblins this Halloween are government run health care, the national energy tax, and taxes to pay for more bureaucracies that spend more of your money.

Won't Cap and Trade...
...and increasing punitive taxes on The People's energy resources have a much direr impact on "The Poor". And if "we" "give" the poor subsidies for energy consumption, won't that 1)create greater demand for energy, 2) increase the rate of The Deficit and The National Debt? Once again, the coercive power of Big Government out to confiscate The People's resources is in full display for all to behold.
