I think if there is anything you can glean from this Blog is that I believe Americans are fed up with having a government that spends too much of their tax dollars behind closed doors and in secrecy. If an earmark is worthy of one cent of taxpayer money, it must be able to withstand public scrutiny.

Republicans are circulating a petition that would force House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to allow all earmarks to be publicly disclosed and debated.  The petition requires 218 signatures,  in order to succeed; the support of fiscally responsible House Democrats is needed.

So far 193 Members have signed on.  Unfortunately, after Democrats won the majority by campaigning on the promise of more transparency in Congress, there hasn’t been one Democrat to add their name to the petition as of now.

Disclosure alone will not solve the earmark problem. But it’s a start, and Democrats refuse to even do that.

Gabby, get a life!
Demoncraps have been the biggest crooks and thieves there have ever been. Have there been crooked Reps, yep, and they are no longer in Congess and some are in jail. Demoncraps simply promote their crooks when caught.

To a Demoncrap, transparency means hide everything we do and whine like a stuck pig whenever we can catch a Rep doing like us.

Do What
As usual the DEMS are preaching what they cant make happen. We need some REPS whop have B#lls
everyday last year before the elections we saw the DEMS on the steps of Congress complaining how the REPS where spending like crazy and it got them elected, so now why would they not want to sign a petition that would let the American Peeps know what they were spending out taz dolloars on. I know Al GLOBULL Warming in do as I say not as I do. Edwards, my 2 Americas Mine and your poor butts($400 Haircut), HITLERY and HSU I have never met that man before. Thousands of illegal contribution $$$$$. SMURTHA and millions on a facilty that noone wanted. I think if the REPS push this hard enough they will get the American Peeps attention. But as usual the DUMBOCRAPS will come up with something like , we will be taking money from the rich to give to the poor and their peeps will be blinded as usual. The REPS made mistakes when they got in charge and their deep pockets got them in trouble how about sharing the wealth since 8 of the top 10 Politicains in Congress are DEMS. Maybe they can help since they fit the RICH category.

Thanks for caring.
As a fraustrated conservative republican, I have compleletly given up on the law makers on our side, time after time, Democrats have the stage and the bullhorn. On isssue after issue, the Democrats took charge, their never was a clear rebuttal on the Republican side. On issue of war in Iraq, we heard nothing, we wanted to hear more support for our troops, their mission, they hid behind their big desks, while the liberal media in Washington D.C. defined the anti war agenda.
We the people, do not want to loose a war, we like to hear more support for our troops, and nothing short of Victory is acceptable to us. Then is the spending problem, the sad story is now, GOP is loosing the big business backing to the Democrats and to Hillary Clinton of all people a socialist at core. Enough said.
