Here is the key sentence: "Every private entity that received an earmark from Mr. Murtha also made a campaign contribution".
Murtha takes your tax dollars, creates an earmark(budget add on),and awards that money (which is yours) to contributors to pay them back (with your money) for helping him(Murtha) get re-elected.
I despise Murtha yet my dollars get him re-elected against my will. We need a Caning Law. |

I once threw my shoe at the TV set, when Murtha (the buffoon) was bouncing around for the cameras at a hearing about Iraq and blustered that, "...Iraq is far more intense than Vietnam." Give me a break, you fat slob!
We lost 58,000 people in the 10 years of the war in Vietnam, something I guess he conveniently forgot. That averages out to about 5,800 per year. In 5 years of the Iraq war we've just hit the 4,000 mark. I've known Marines that have served their full tours in Irag and never heard a shot fired. In fact, if it wasn't for the news media they wouldn't even have known about some of the violence that was happening.
Murtha served in Vietnam as a USMC intel officer, which means he enjoyed an air conditioned office while the rest of us were out there in the "intensity." How would he know anything other than what we told him?
Murtha's a fat, stupid, moneybagging foghorn leghorn liberal. He deserves to be sent into retirement at the next earliest opportunity.

Let me work on this; you could "care less about earmarks because both sides do it". Two wrongs make it right--my Mother always said that was not true. She was right. You are stupid. Two people steal your tax dollars and one is Republican, the other one Democrat, so it is alright with you. Be advised, it is not alright with me or any other Army guy, I know or have ever known. The Marines just can't seem to get it right. I suppose that is why Murtha acts the way he does. |

Lets get rid of the biggest 'earmarks' of all-- Social Security and Medicare. Thats 60% of the budget and we can put the savings into the microscopically tiny earmarks that the legislators vote to their contributors. Once we pare the tens of millions of demanding AARP parasites off the budget we'll have enough cash to do whatever we want. |

"This has been going on since the creation of this country", here is another of your rants (8:58 of 9 April) that is not true. We did not have an income tax for years and "pork" was unheard of when our elected Representatives represented their constituency instead of the party.
