Just before the recess, during a hearing on Capitol Hill Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA) was questioning representatives and leaders from the petroleum industry.

I am afraid the truth is that this is indicative of what this Congress wants to do.

Welcome to Cap and Trade
What's the difference? The government is now going to control everything, even the weather.

Further Proof
They made the crisis, now their solution is to nationalize the industry. They're following the same model for the healthcare industry.

Which is exactly.....
....why we keep sending folks like you to Congress: so you can stand up for us against these whackos.
By the way, I voted for you again today. Don't let me down.....

Is Huckabee also a Socialist?
Pretty good case made here that he is indeed.

Trade-offs
Wouldn't it be easier for us to simply move Maxine Waters and her cohorts wanting socialism to France than to change the US Economy?

I'll kick in the first $10.00 ....

And they call Bush dumb!
She is so stupid as to believe that price gouging occurs when in reality these firms are merely pricing based on where MC=MR. Oh, I understand this conservative knows economics and realizes that regulation raises price. If Maxine Waters wants to help the American people she should either try to pass a basic test in Economics or retire. By the way these oil companies will simply shut down and then these prices will seem minuscule.

Fred Thompson told the world Huck was a Democrat. Calling him a socialist was too good for him.
