I came across a good editorial today that ran in the Philadelphia Inquirer.  It discusses the Democrat's increasing unwillingness to live up to their campaign promises to clean up earmark and ethics rules. Check it out here.
The House Democrats have short memories. Exit polls showed that a key factor that thrust them into power last November was the public's anger at the GOP majority's failure to police itself, as in the page scandal involving former Rep. Mark Foley of Florida.

If disgusted voters conclude that the new boss on Capitol Hill is the same as the old boss, it won't go well for Democrats next time at the polls.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi should spend less time jetting to Syria and more doing what voters put her in her position to do: Clean up Capitol Hill.

Any one who is surprised.
step to the left.

I never believed for a nano-second that the Dems would deliver.

It was all BS to win last fall and it worked.

Hope we can use it against them though.

DeLay Uses T-Word, Treason
On my blog (click on name above) I just posted major breaking news story from Tribune-Review in Pittsburgh quoting Tom DeLay as saying Reid and Pelosi are "close" to "treason." Let me know what you think of it.

The Demonicrats vs The Repugnicants
I find all the name calling and finger pointing rather interesting, and about what, might I ask? About ethics reform?

Let me see now.
If a Repugnicant does or does not do something promised or expected for any reason , they are damned if they do and damned if they don't.
But
If a Demonicrat does or does not do something promised or expected for any reason, it's quite alright. It is even more alright while the 2 Demonicrat leaders of the 2 Houses of Congress are consorting with the enemy and playing little tin god.

I rest my case.

Not even funny anymore...

I've been listening to the Dems claim the '06 elections were a 'referendum' on everything from the war to healthcare etc.

How is it they don't recognize the "REAL" Referendum was to "clean up congress"...

I have no doubt, the MSM will (like jessicalange above does) spin this Dem/Socialist shortcoming into a positive if their feet aren't held to the fire.

Just indict 'Cold Cash' Jefferson, censure him, do something (not name him to Homeland Security Committee) to show us you meant what you said for once.

OR are you waiting until September 10, 2008 to throw him to the lions? That seems more the speed of The Collective....

Get a Grip Jessica
We're talking about the unwillingness (they would say "inability") of Congress to police themselves even to the extent that they will take credit for what they feel is necessary spending by admitting to which ear marks they sponsor and your contribution to the "debate" is name calling and notations that the Republicans do it too.

That't the point, Jessica! The Republicans got voted out of office because of their spending habits and because the Democrats convinced enough gullible voters to believe that they would clean up the act in Congress. But now that they are in control, they have shown no intention of doing anything but continue on as before.

What has happened to this country when even so obvious an argument can't be understood by people who seem to know how to work a computer. Have computers gotten that easy to use, or have people just gotten that stupid?

have the Dem's done anything?
Have they done anything meaningful, yet? Anything at all? I can't think of anything.

(I prefer Demonrat, personally ;)
