I just returned from the floor of the House where Speaker Pelosi and nearly all the Democrats officially voted to cover up Rep. Murtha's ethics violation and shield him from an official reprimand. It's important to note that this entire incident has been substantiated by witnesses and not denied by Murtha. This is a clear violation of House Ethics Rules and general decorum. There is no legitimate justification for not supporting a formal reprimand.

Of course there is
"There is no legitimate justification for not supporting a formal reprimand. "

Of course there is. John Murtha is a loyal liberal Democrat and Nancy Pelosi is a lying wench. Remember folks, these are the same type of people who brought you "the most ethical administration in history". Ethics rules, civil behavior, and sunlight clauses only apply to their political enemies, no matter what they say when running for office.

We need to get rid of all of these people, on both sides of the aisle, and return Congress to the part-time, citizen legislators envisioned by the founders, and then limit them to the actual powers enumerated in the Constitution.

Meanwhile . . .
the dimwits are taking care of much more important business.

What's that? Taking care of the country like they promised, by putting through good legislation?? WHOA!! -- Not by a long shot!!!

NOPE -- even while they smugly vote to cover up the lack of ethics in Murtha, they launch OVER 3 DOZEN INVESTIGATIONS on the Repubs, determined to find SOMETHING, ANYTHING -- NO MATTER HOW MUCH TAXPAYER MONEY THEY HAVE TO SPEND DOING IT.

This is what you voted for America. Now, I realize that a fair percentage of you voted for these smug idiots for just that very reason -- hoping for payback. Enjoy it, libs, while our country wastes away.

The rest of you naive folks who voted for this pack of dimwits -- you who thought they'd get some action on real legislation -- hope you're happy. The only action this dimwit-led Congress will be up to for the next 2 years will be investigating every possible nook and cranny, hoping that SOMETHING will turn up.

Sickening.

It's OK because
I really am tired of justifying improper behavior by citing improper behavior by someone else. When Traficant went down my elder aunt felt that he was railroaded because "everyone in Washington does it." Murtha is wrong and he should get his a$$ kicked and I don't care one whit about what water has already passed under the bridge.

Must Be JOKING
You got to be kidding me why i would never think that a DEM would do no such thing. The drive by media will surely not put this in the World Wide Media because there is no (R) in front of his name. I bet you want find this on CNN? The problem I have with all this is when a REP is caught doing something wrong he is run out of town or he resigns. When a DEM does this its like Oh he just made a small misjudgement and needs a little guidance and care. Why are you REPS so mad. This goes to show the world how stupid our Congress really are. People wander why other countries laugh at us. I read where the PRES rating is higher than Congress well no wonder.

EVERYBODY KNOWS
what Murtha is. A greedy, self-centered, bullying windbag.

Now, everybody knows that everybody else knows what Murtha is -- a greedy, self-centered, bullying windbag about to bust a gut if he doesn't have his own way. To him, it's his way or the highway.

I hope I'm around when this overstuffed, greedy, hog-trough-slopping windbag has-been is a true has-been.

By the way, I've seen hogs slopping at the trough and rolling around in the mud. The resemblance between them and him is overpowering.

John...
Shut up. Now. You have no reason to be complaining unless you, the rest of the party, etc publicly pledge to serve the American people:

1. You will vote no on legislation with pork;
2. That you will out anyone who is doing wrong;
3. That you will not vote for tax increases, which includes ending tax cuts;
4. That you WILL vote for the FairTax OR Flat Tax;
5. That you WILL support turning Social Security into a true safety net: a savings and investment system; And ---
6. That you will NOT vote for a budget proposal that exeeds projected revenue in most circumstances.
